Email your referral to info@dermcafe.ca. Once it's processed a few days later, you'll get a email link to book your Dermatology Visit. You must register using this specific link

Please Note: after the initial Dermatologist Consultation, OHIP/AHS/MSP/UHIP/CIHIP follow-up visits are performed by a team of derm-focused family physicians

What can DermCafé care for virtually?

DermCafé CAN'T safely provide virtual care for:​

  • Inadequately captured on photo:

    • Mole/skin cancer/lesion concerns

    • Concerns inside the mouth

    • Concerns in the anal/genital region

    • Concerns on the scalp

    • Full or regional skin checks

    • Non-male-pattern hair loss

  • Requires in-person care from the onset:

    • Widespread or complex rashes 

    • Wounds

    • Procedural care (e.g. skin cancer removals)

    • Warts

  • Medical emergencies

  • Prescription for controlled substances

 

These concerns require in-person care at physical Dermatologist offices

DermCafé CAN safely provide virtual care for:

  • Acne and acne scarring

  • Rosacea

  • Facial skin discolouration (Melasma)

  • Wrinkles / antiaging concerns

  • Other facial rashes (Seborrheic dermatitis, perioral dermatitis)

  • Keratosis pilaris

  • Pediatric skin concerns: eczema, cradle cap, hemangiomas & more 

  • Limited eczema (e.g. hand eczema)

  • Limited psoriasis

  • Contact dermatitis

  • Male pattern hair loss

  • Excessive sweating

Please note: Children under 18 are not required to attend video call appointment if parent is present as long as high quality photos are submitted. However if your child is old enough to participate, they are encouraged to attend!
